01/06 - 04/06/24 LEP BIOMEDICAL PRESENT AT 16TH EUROPEAN GLAUCOMA SOCIETY IN DUBLIN, IRELAND.
CEO Alan Hibbitts and CMO Prof. Colm O’Brien presented HyaGuard™ to a range of clinical and industrial stakeholders at the European Glaucoma Congress 2026.
This biennial event gathered over 2500 leading glaucoma specialists for four days of meetings, idea exchange and patient advocacy. Throughout, there was a consistent appetite present for better outcomes and tangible improvements for both patient and surgeon alike.
29/05/24 LEP BIOMEDICAL PROGRESS TO FINAL 3 OF INNOVATION AWARD AT FUTURE HEALTH SUMMIT 2024, DUBLIN IRELAND.
Following a record number of applications, LEP Biomedical were successful in progressing to the final 8 HealthTech start-ups on Day 1 of the Future Health Summit 2024 in Dublin, Ireland.
After a 90-second pitch competition, LEP Biomedical then progressed to the final 3 companies for panel interviews with journalist Andy O'Donoghue.

It was our great privilege to showcase our HyaGuard™ platform for enhanced glaucoma surgical outcomes not once but twice to over 500 healthcare and hospital management professionals. Our mantra of “value to all stakeholders” was more relevant than ever.

O4/04/24 LEP BIOMEDICAL FUNDING ANNOUNCED IN MARKETSCOPE AND EYEWIRE+ PUBLICATIONS.
Building on initial momentum following the announcement of their pre-seed funding, LEP Biomedical has also received further publicity in major market evaluation outlets MarketScope and Eyewire+.

05/03/24 LEP Biomedical Ltd closes initial Pre-Seed Investment with Enterprise Ireland.
LEP Biomedical is delighted to announce the finalisation of pre-seed funding through Enterprise Ireland and the Pre-Seed Start Fund!
This investment of €100,000 over two 6-month periods provides runway to full seed investment and allows essential regulatory affairs and reimbursement work.
LEP Biomedical is grateful for Enterprise Ireland’s continued support as we continue our mission to ensure glaucoma surgery outcomes through our proprietary HyaGuard™ platform.
04/12/23 LEP BIOMEDICAL COMPLETE PIONEER GROUP ACCELERATOR PROGRAMME
Following a competitive selection process, LEP Biomedical participated in UK-based venture
builder Pioneer Group’s accelerator programme. Taking place online and at their Dublin
location in the Cherrywood campus over eight weeks, significant progress was made in end-
user feedback and customer workflow.

01/12/23 LEP Biomedical draft initial sustainability charter with Griffith College Ireland’s Graduate Business School.
LEP Biomedical is delighted to finalise their initial sustainability charter. Underpinned by the motto, “Sustainability by Design”, a draft charter has been created to identify early how LEP Biomedical will ensure a cleaner, more equitable world.
Many thanks to Laura Becerra, Jennifer Osuji and Michael-Philippe Bosonnet of Griffith College Graduate Business School for their tireless work and input on this project.

20/06/23 LEP Biomedical Awarded 1st Runner up at IDEATE Ireland Accelerator.
Following initial selection from over 80 applicants and a 10-week intensive accelerator programme, LEP Biomedical are thrilled to be awarded 1st runner-up following the final showcase and pitch day competition. All companies presented incredibly promising concepts and with collaboration and support fostered throughout.
Congratulations to 1st place winners ArrayPatch, Third Place Joint-Awardees Re-Coli and Sision Medical, and all companies and sponsors. Special thanks also to the IDEATE co-founder and leader of the programme Helen Fullen.

16/05/23 LEP Biomedical at BioEquity Europe in Dublin, Ireland
CEO Dr. Alan Hibbitts and LEP Biomedical Scientist Dr. Golestan Salimbeigi presented the HyaGuard technology and development timeline at both an oral and poster presentation at Bioequity Europe. This was LEP Biomedical's largest audience to date and was made possible through generous support from the Office of Research and Innovation at The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

Dr. Ronan MacLoughlin and Dr. Tauseef Ahmad had the opportunity to engage with global KOLs as part of LEP Biomedical's mission to raise awareness of its proprietary HyaGuard technology.

Congratulations to LEP Biomedical researcher Dr. Tauseef Ahmad for winning "Best Medical Device Research Oral Presentation" at the Annual Bioengineering in Ireland meeting at Johnstown House, Enfield, Co. Meath.
